The term” Christian Principles” pays more attention to the Christian faith, thought and way of life while downplaying dogmatic differences and segregation. On the other hand, “Interest in Egypt” may stem from a wide spectrum of sources. At one end are those who were born in Egypt from a long line of Egyptian heritage. At the other end are those who were touched by Egypt merely through reading or study. Along the way lie a variety of situations including being espoused to one; Egyptian descendants living outside Egypt; having been born, or raised, in Egypt to non-Egyptian parents who happened to live there (such as being on overseas assignment); spending some time in Egypt; befriended by one; etc. While not a religious organization, yet promoting the Christian faith, both by thought and action, lies at the heart of the form and function of the society. The activities of the society maybe categorized in three main areas; Social, Cultural / Educational and Service.  Services provided by the society draw no religious, ethnic, national, or gender based distinctions among those being served. The society is formally structured as a non-profit, non political, corporation whose membership is open to all who believe in its concepts, goals and are willing to actively participate in achieving them.  In addition to the satisfaction and pride stemming from being an active member of the society, members enjoy a number of other privileges including voting rights, the ability to serve in leading positions in the society activities and discounts at selected events. CEHS is a society whose time has come, welcoming new members help sharpen the focus of its activities.
